Low-cost 800* inertia-only unit includes: heavy-duty formed steel and diamond-tread frame with low-profile 16"-diameter x 25" wide medium-inertia roll assembly - with machined-in "traction grooves," adjustable tire stop, tie downs, quick-remove ramp, DYNOmite-Lite data-acquisition computer, 3-channel data harness, DYNO-MAX "Lite" software, banner, accessories package, and manual (less PC).

SAE (contact-patch ratio) Hp Capacity:

*Power capacity is unlimited, but subject to roll diameter-induced tire deformation (safety) and traction (efficiency) limits. Continuous capacity depends on selected absorber and test speeds. Higher torque transfer requires tie downs. 
13" = 100 Hp (1000 / 2.7"deform*μ) – “scooter duty” tires 
16" = 400 Hp (1000 / 2.5"deform*μ) 
20" = 450 Hp (1000 / 2.2"deform*μ) 
30" = 675 Hp (1000 / 1.5"deform*μ) 
Note: μ = 1.00 (coefficient of friction for typical 24"-diameter rubber tire on grooved steel roll).

MPH Range (tire limited):

  • 10 - 120 MPH (13" diameter)

Steady-State Power (absorption units):

Actual load capacity depends on selected (AC, eddy-current, or water-brake) absorber and roll speed (including any overdrive ratio). See online load charts for curves.


Engine and Absorber Tachometers:
